tonight with break news of a shooting near george washington university hospital in northwest d.c. we're told a victim walked into the hospital with gunshot wounds after being shot on 23rd street right out identify of the entrance of the hospital. the hospital was placed on lock down for a short time. so far there's mow word on the victim's condition, a motive or an arrest . we are also following more breaking news. a sad update to a case of a missing maryland man who suffered from dementia. prince george's county police have conferred that they found the body of daniel dehaven in a wooded area near bwi thurgood marshal airport. marina maracco is live >>reporter: it was last tuesday exactly a week ago when 65 year old daniel dehaven was last seen . like you said, he was suffering from dementia. his

verbal. he would only say yes or no and barely even his name. police believe that sometime t last tuesday after he was last spotted on surveillance cameras here at the costco in beltsville then someone may have picked him up while he was walking along route one and dropped him off in gambia brils and since then retired firefighters, community activists have been looking for this man to no avail. it was tonight near bw wwi when a woman who was out for a walk, spotted hisser body, called anne arrundel police and they search they found him and they believe that a 656 year old daniel de haven. of course there are plenty of questions as to how he got from beltsville all the way up to bwi. that's nearly 20 miles away. right now anne arrundel police, they are saying they do not suspect foul play in his desginate, but tomorrow his body will be seen by the tomorrow examiner and

surveillance camera captured on video before and a after he touched the child. in the first clip the jogger appears to be exercising. we have not seen anything recently like this in that particular area so i would say this is an isolated incident . we want to keep it an isolated incident and that's why we need the community's help to make sure nothing like this happens again. whatever she yelled or screamed startled him she did exactly what she should have done in this circumstance. and if you could see, then, in that video the suspect did have a 22, was wearing a jersey with the number 22 on the back of that jersey. so that is a big clue for loudon county sheriff's

identifying this man wanted for an armed robbery. investigators say he walked into the 7/eleven at dupont circle around 1 a.m., pulled the gun on the cashier, forced the clerk to give him some cash. if you recognize this man or anything about his clothing call d.c. police. >> new tonight, a three year old child was killed in a car crash in southern, maryland. police are called to the scene. two vehicles were involved, a pickup truck slammed into the back of a car. three adults in the car were taken to a trauma center, the child was pronounced dead at the hospital. the driver of the truck was treated and release. police are still investigating. new details tonight about a police-involved shooting last november. todd archer used his gun to try and smash an suv wind on. the gun went off and he accidentally shot an unarmed driver. it happened in the park ing lot of the

new nielt, an undocumented immigrant accused of breaking in , robbing and then living in a prince george's county house while the tenants were away is accused of doing the exact same thing in montgomery county. fox5's line situate watts joins us tonight with a story you will only see on fox5 a. this is the suspect. his name is bore rose i've been in touch with customs they tell me he was from el salvador and was arrested from border control in h 20176789 he he has been arrested again and again in maryland but able to walk free despite an ice detain er. he's quite good. allen hand i.e. showed us all the doorknobs broke broken by the man who moved into his house . this is

combination. alan and his mother were away from their tacoma park home for weeks over the summer. >> i don't like to remember it. alan took photos of what they found when they returned, a cot in the living room, cigarettes on the floor, their home trashed . evidently by more than one person. they used everything. they slept here. they did things in the bathroom you wouldn't believe. they also burglarized the house stealing cash, alan's k-9 collection. he bustedded them open. for some reason he didn't get every single one. and some items belonging to dag marijuana mar's parents killed in the holocaust she can't believe this happened to her home. i was so shocked when i saw it, when i hear soggy start shaking. through fingerprints police identified one of the suspects as boris kald der own

and two other guys are accused of doing the same thing in hyattsville. the suspects were found sleeping in a residence and had ransacked the house. ice says it issued a detainer, but in prince george's county, a detainer isn't enough. the county requires a criminal warrant from ice to cooperate so the suspect was freed. in his brief time in the us we found car. oh has had many encounters with the law law enforcement. he's been able to keep bailing out. just last month he was caught stealing from the westfield wheaton mall. he post ed bond and up until today, alan and tacoma park police were under the impression he was re lease again. after we started asking questions, police found out he was actually transferred back to prince george's county. finally held without bond. we oh our friends at fox5 quite a

the story. before tacoma park police knew the suspect was behind bars, a detective told alan by e-mail even once he is arrested the courts will allow him an opportunity to make bale tacoma park is a sanctuary city and we do not aid with deportations in any manner. you how many more bore razzes are in the system? i think the question is where do we draw the line? a statement from ice says in part when criminal alias are release they have the opportunity to reoffend. it go es onto say state and local law enforcement authorities under local law provide information, including the information about release from criminal custody of an alien subject to a decontainer. maryland's attorney general has advised jails they should not hold undocumented immigrants past their release date unless ice provides not just a detainer , but also a warrant.

lawsuit. prince george's county says it was following that advice. if police top you in a rental car do they still need your permission before they search the car? that was the argument before the us supreme court today. this concerns a case in pennsylvania where state troopers were able to search a rental car because the driver's name was not on the rental agreement. inside the trunk they found body armor and 2500 bags of heroin. attorneys forth the federal government argue when you you rent a car you don't own it. therefore you don't have the right to give or deny permission to search. critics are worried that such an approach could extend to more than just rental cars. if the court were to up hold this decision by the state court, i think all of a sudden you would be seeing thousands of searches of not just rental cars, but law enforcement would try and expand this to uber, to lift, to car to go and then to a car that is

quote, owned by someone like me that would be the end of the fourth amendment as it relates to cars. a decision in this case is p expected before june. president trump met with the bipartisan group of lawmakers today at the white house to talk comprehensive immigration reform . the meeting was originally scheduled to be clos ed from the press but in an unexpected twist tv cameras were allow to role in the discussion for nearly an hour. during the meeting, president trump called on the 25 democratic and republican law makers to come up with a solution. this should be a bifl love, truly it should be a bill of love and we can do that. it also has to be a bill where we're able to secure our border, drugs are pouring into our country at a record pace. yep, the president suggested a two phase immigration deal, the first will deal with chain immigration, the visa lottery and daca programs. during that same meeting president trump was asked about facing

his post as executive chairman. the news comes as bannon began losing support from conservative backers following comments he made in michael wol's new book fire and furry. in the book bannon questions president trump 's mental fitness and disparages the president's son don jr. the company is working with bannon on a smooth transition. >> discovery communications, the anchor of downtown silver springs announced today it is moving its headquarters to new york city. it's a decision that came despite what elected officials say was a very genius offer to statement of fox5 a's paul wagner has the details. >>reporter: this was a shocking announcement, discovery communications, which is only been here in downtown silver springs for less than two decades is moving saying it needs to create a new model with a changing media landscape. as you can imagine, county leaders are upset, especially county executive mike leg it. i'm disappointed to say the least.

states. and a secret government satellite gone missing. what we're learning tonight. the 10:30 starts now. and off the top we're following some breaking news, a missing montgomery county man has been found dead. daniel dehaven's bod was discovered in a wooded area near bwi airport. marina maracco live with the breaking details tonight. >>reporter: a lot of questions on this one, how did daniel de haven, a man who was suffering from dementia want and was non verbal wonder off in builts villian his body was found a week later near bwi. tonight we spoke with his family. they did not want to go on camera. they said tomorrow there will be some kind of statement. this community had been searching for this man for the past week. just tonight, woman who was out for a walk spotted his area in a wooded area near bwi. for now, anne arrundel police saying they do not suspect foul play

death. a surprised announcement from discovery communications, the company is leaving silver springs and will move its headquarters to new york. discovery employees about 1300 people. it will keep some of its operations in maryland and expand its distribution facility in sterling. the move is expected to take place sometime next year. unclear right now what will take discovery's place in that building. president trump calling for a bipartisan plan on immigration. democrats want a permanent solution for so-called dreamers, the daca program ends march 5 without an agreement. the president says he won't sign off on a daca extension unless he gets funding for a border wall and other border measures. in the district police are investigat ing a shooting. corey coffin just arrived near the hospital. she's joining us live with an update now. corey. >>reporter: hi, guys, right here at the scene we're told the shooting happened rig

the hospital as a matter of fact and even bullet casings were seen right outside the hospital we're told that person who was shot walked in and that is what caused that panic at that point as soon as officials found out that the shooting happened right outside here. there's still some police tape up inside at the hospital at this point. as you can imagine this h caused quite the pandemonium, massive police response. authorities roping this area off. the hospital was placed odd lock down for a short time. i've been able to confirm the lock down has been lifted from the hospital at this point. so far there's no word on the victim's condition or a motive. but as we mentioned, this is a heavily populated area. take a look over here, this is right next to a metro stop. this is the foggy bottom metro stop here. a lot of people come in and out of this area which is why authorities had to place that lock down. if you have any information on this case or a potential suspect at this point, authorities only have a general description, so if you have any idea about
